The Shure V15 cartridge series (and many MM cartridges) are definitely in their
element with horn speaker systems, sounding very open, energetic, MC-like, while
comparably much more laidback in systems with box speakers.
Excellent
horn-based system, and once again, DIY'er Straits' designs don't exhibit the
colouration detectable in many tube amplification.
One of the rewards of visiting and listening to customer's systems
is the discovery of new music, and here we found one that we really liked,
thanks to AMD - "Exploring The Psychedelic" from Liquid Sound Company.
By the way, this type of music may not suit some tastes. "Meditative
spacious psychedelic rock, hypnotic Eastern pyramid trip jams, some acid rock."
Their other album is "Inside
The Acid Temple".

Surprise, more
beautiful guitars and a keyboard :) Definitely a musician's room.
