At the moment, system is currently burning in, and no definite assessment on the sound except for the obvious improvement in detail retrieval and tighter bass compared to his other turntable (Sota + SME V + Denon 103-R). The Technics SP10 is a respected direct-drive table from the old days, particularly the MKII version.
Recommended upgrade which we both agree on is the phono stage, which has a fixed loading of 47KOhms, a far cry from the recommended 100 Ohms load of the AT33-PTG cartridge. |
