What can we say ? In
short, one very fine system :)
The Living Voice OBX-R2s in Bird's Eye Maple,
with the external crossovers on the floor.
Also in between are a pair of Eighth Nerve
Floorstanders, facing each other. This configuration highlights the center image.
Even when standing on the side outside the speakers, the center image is rock-solid in
between the speakers.
Below is the right speaker. There's another
Eighth Nerve Floorstander on the right side taking care of the 1st side
reflection point. Eighth Nerve Seams work just as well.
Below is the left speaker, and more records.
Left, Above, and Below: In a different light
setting,
the beautiful Bird's Eye Maple finish stands out more.
Left and Above: Eighth Nerve room
treatment products (Corner, Seam, Echo) strategically placed.
The Lavardin Technologies Model IT integrated
amplifier serving amplification duties.
Now there's a superb album, Gounod's "Faust" +
Bizet's "Carmen", conducted by Alexander Gibson, RCA Living Stereo.
Other favorites would be Ricci's "Carmen Suite"
+ Sarasate's "Zigeunerweisen" under Decca, and Schedrin's "Carmen Ballet"
under Melodiya.
