"In this system, absolute truth and purity in
tonality and timbre is top priority, and TSL has done well. Listening to
Larry Carlton's "Alone but Never Alone" LP for example is a delight, full-bodied
and tonality of all strings and percussions are heard like never before.
Digital playback was likewise very good, the Esoteric gear demonstrating why
they are ranked among the world's best. All these in a system still in the
process of evolving."
The above was the description of the earlier system.
Playing the same LP on this new upgraded system, the scale is magnified
significantly, making the earlier system sound puny (and many other systems).
This upgraded system also has superb presence, with much better soundstage
depth, and air around instruments. Excellent all-rounder, limited mainly
by the amplifiers. Bass on the Ray Brown/Laurindo Almeida
LP "Moonlight Serenade" is superbly rendered, these speakers are truly excellent in
reproducing bass (and will surely excel especially when driven active as we've
heard with Genesis 1-based systems).
