Linn LP12 (Trampolin and Valhalla) with the rare Linn Ittok LV III/2 1993 model (Sold - USA [tonearm], India [turntable])

Excellent condition turntable, with Trampolin and Valhalla power supply 230-240 volts, mint tonearm. Includes original turntable Linn packaging, and tonearm already mounted. Free Audio-Technica cartridge thrown in.

The Linn Ittok LVIII/2 1993 model is one of the rare tonearms, and has been found by some users to be equal or better in performance to the higher model Linn Ekos 1. This LV III/2 model came out only for a short period, and is distinguished by its Ekos-type arm rest (no hole in the armboard needed).

What is a Trampolin ?

Description: Replacement baseboard fitted with 4 adjustable feet on rubber dampers similar to those fitted to the Axis turntable. Its silicone membrane suspension is intended to filter out a specific band of low frequency noise centred on the area just below 50Hz. Said to improve the LP12 when situated in a room with a solid floor or when placed on heavy furniture. "It should bring you a better bass performance and a little more detail."

What is a Valhalla ?

Description: The Valhalla is a synthesized AC source, the board rectifies the AC line, then uses a cheerful crystal oscillator and other circuitry that is used to create a single sine wave at 50Hz, then a simple phase shift cap is used to provide the shift for the second winding.

The JMW-9 tonearm is the perfect complement to the Scout, offering all of the advantages of a unipivot tonearm at a bargain price. The arm has a low friction bearing mounted on a solid stainless steel rod with markings to set VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle). As with the more expensive JMW-10 and JMW-12 arms, the tonearm assembly of the JMW-9 can be removed and replaced in seconds, allowing instant cartridge changes with multiple armwands. An RCA junction box allows any RCA-terminated interconnects to be used.

This soft design cable has excellent feedback rejection into the junction box and is made from the exact same internal wire used inside the JMW tonearms. SME Series III - An SME classic, a beautifully designed and finely crafted arm. It won a Design Council Award in 1978. It incorporates an ingenious and convenient way of making all of the essential adjustments. The following adjustments are made using finger-grip controls making them easy to execute. Since adjustments are referenced to scales they are repeatable.
* Coarse downforce adjustments by macro-adjustments of the counterweight
* Separate control for Fine downforce adjustments by micro-adjustments of the countweight
* Lateral counterweight balance adjustments for azimuth accuracy
* Bias/anti-skating adjustment

In addition the counterweight is fully adjustable for light or heavy cartridges, by an ingenious technique, without the need for replacement counterweights or additional parts. Photocopy of the manual and mounting template are included.

Transfiguration Temper Supreme MC phono cartridge (without stylus) (Sold - Italy)

Good condition exterior, no stylus (due to accident), cantilever intact. Still a good cartridge worthy to retip (new Temper was in the USD 3000 range).

We can also have it traded in for a new transfiguration model, to a brand-new Temper Supreme, add USD 1437. Add USD 937 for a brand-new Transfiguration Spirit.

Otherwise, retipping can be done by Jan Allaerts, The Cartridge Man, Expert Stylus, Van Den Hul, Garrott Bros.. Expert Stylus in the UK would probably be the cheapest.

Lyra Parnassus Version 1 Original Blue Body phono cartridge (Sold - Singapore)

Rare, and in very good condition, was used sparingly as former owner had 2 of these.

Ever heard of Lyra's US$ 9800 Olympos cartridge ? It is Lyra's top-of-the-line, and can only be created from a Parnassus Original Blue Body, if they can find one. That's how special and good this cartridge is in Lyra's hierarchy, its non-replaceable "ingredients" are topnotch. Naturally, this can be rebuilt into an Olympos if you want.
