Also currently in
production, the Tron Seven
Mono phono stage !
Optimize listening to mono records.
Priced the same as a stereo Tron Seven phono stage, it also basically
looks exactly the same as a normal Seven except it has 4 toggle switches
along the bottom.
One is a mute switch, and the other 3 switch in different equalisation
settings which are extremely important for mono
records, as all the record labels from 1948 - 1960 used different
equalisation curves.
Towards the end, for stereo records, everyone adopted RIAA as the industry
standard. The Seven mono will have 4 EQ
settings.
Using a mono cartridge on the
mono record will be greatly superior to using a
stereo cartridge on a mono record but that is
only half the story.
The Seven Mono together with a
mono cartridge, and being able to switch to
different equalisations will give vastly superior results with
mono records.
