In our choice of products, we value musical
qualities above all. Of course, the definition of
musicality can be personal, but there will always be groups where
members share the same reaction to the music. We have always
been around music lovers who will dance to music from a simple radio
or TV, and these experiences have not been lost to us.
Our
goal is to offer product matches that will be faithful to the beat
of the music and to the primal instinct, rather than just products
with good audiophile sound but failing to knit the musical threads
together. We never count the number of frogs croaking in
a recording, or try to determine the sex of the dog barking, or the
size of the singer's mouth in millimeters :)
Aesthetics comes in only second in our criteria,
and we just consider it a bonus if it looks good. We are
reminded of a competitor trying to hard sell his good-looking tonearm to
a customer, and criticizing our simple-looking and affordable
|
Scheu Classic tonearm
as something that looks like it was made in a garage.
We were only amused when we heard about this from
the customer, our competitors are entitled to their sales pitches :)
We are truly pleased with the
Scheu Classic tonearm
for its performance.
Looks can certainly be deceiving. For
example, a veteran customer bought the
Scheu Classic tonearm
and his peers and children laughed at it when put next to his
prettier and much pricier Graham 2.2. After setting up and playing, the
customer had the last laugh, the simple-looking
Scheu Classic tonearm
was deemed musically superior by everyone who heard the new
combination. In our experience, we also agree, unequivocally.
Of course, we are sure that the Graham's character may suit certain
systems as well, it all boils down to matching. |
